Education
Shauna graduated from nursing school at The University of Texas at Tyler in 2018. She completed her Master’s in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University in 2023. Shauna worked for 6 years as a nurse in many settings, including pediatric cardiology, cardiac intensive care, and pediatric urgent care.
History with MD Pediatric Associates
Shauna joined MD Pediatric Associates in 2024. Shauna’s available at both the Flower Mound and Coppell offices for well-child and acute care.
Why Pediatrics?
During Shauna’s pediatric rotations in nursing school, she fell in love with the kids and knew she wanted to work in pediatrics. After 6 years of working in pediatrics as a nurse, Shauna saw how resilient babies and kids really were. They are some of the strongest humans! She loved the relationships she built with children and their families and the support system that she could offer when their child was sick. Shauna cannot imagine working in anything other than pediatrics.
Fun Facts
Shauna is originally from Dallas. She enjoys quality time with friends and family, Pilates, and finding new coffee shops. She loves to travel and walk her dog, Harley.
