Are You New Here?
Welcome to MDPA, your Patient-Centered Medical Home. We look forward to serving your family!
New PatientsOur commitment to helping children lead healthy and active lives goes far beyond our walls. It’s not unusual to find the MD Pediatric team tying on their running shoes, joining in walks, runs and other fundraising events, and showing their support for causes that affect children’s health. We encourage our young patients’ parents to join us in literally “walking the talk” and working together to improve the lives of some of our area’s most vulnerable children.
In 1992, the former mayor of Lewisville, Ann Pomykal, showed Dr. Mark Holt a United Way needs study that revealed a compelling need for providing healthcare to under-served children in Denton County. When she urged him to do something about it, he felt called to say, “Yes.” He recruited Dr. Darla Kincaid to the cause, and together, they founded PediPlace in 1995.
PediPlace is a full-service, non-profit health clinic in Lewisville that provides a medical home, with well and sick care, for Denton County children who are uninsured or have Medicaid/CHIPs. More than two decades later, our physicians continue to support the PediPlace clinic, and Drs. Kincaid and Forbes serve on its board of directors.
In 2010, Dr. Holt was awarded the Lewisville Masonic Community Builder Award in recognition of 30 years of service to local children.
We are proud to support the kids of our community, and hope you will join with us as we participate in our area’s many worthwhile children’s causes. Look for the MD Pediatrics team at community health fairs, parades, and career days, and be sure to stop by and say hello.
