Education
Dr. Samiha Alam received her Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Texas in Dallas in 2011. She attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center- Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, from where she graduated in 2015. She completed her pediatric residency in 2018 at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
History with MD Pediatric Associates
Dr. Alam joined the MDPA team in January 2023. She sees patients at the Flower Mound office.
Why Pediatrics?
Pediatrics is FUN and so incredibly rewarding. On any given day, I am able to see kids from all different age ranges, going through so many developmental stages in life. It is a privilege and honor to be able to witness these patients’ milestones, watch them grow, be a trusted part of their families, and to be able to contribute to their future, even if in a small way. Kids are the best teachers. Their resilience, hard work, optimism, and loyalty are unparalleled. They are a joy to serve and learn from.
Family
Dr. Alam is mom to twin infant girls and a fluffy orange tabby named Buttercup. In her spare time, she loves cooking, watching movies, reading romance novels, and traveling all over the world. She lives in Carrollton with her husband and family.
