Education

Laren DeYoung earned her nursing degree from Northwestern State University in Louisiana in 2016 and completed her Master’s Degree in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Northwestern State University in May 2020. She practiced inpatient hospital pediatric care for 4 years at a Level 1 Trauma hospital- Ochsner LSU Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Laren DeYoung joined our team in 2021. She is located at the Flower Mound Office.

Why Pediatrics?

“I’ve always, always, always known I was destined to work with children. From as far back as I can remember I begged my mom to babysit or work in the nursery at church. It wasn’t until I started college that I decided to become a Nurse Practitioner. I wanted to be able to have a relationship with my patients and watch them grow and become successful in life, while helping them with any health issues they might encounter along the way.  Becoming a primary care provider is my dream job and the best way to do what I absolutely LOVE!”

Fun Facts

“I live in Fort Worth with my husband, our son Grant, and our 3 dogs (Jake, Ace, and Marley). I absolutely love to travel and my husband and I are both devoted foodies. My favorite food would have to be tacos followed by anything sweet!  I have also recently discovered a love of gardening; I enjoy taking care of my little plants and watching them grow. ”
