Finding a New Normal
As patients begin to catch up on overdue well visits, and as we go through back to school/sports physical season, we’re taking steps towards finding a “new normal” and wanted to inform you of our precautions to keep your family safe.
Masks/Cloth Face Coverings/Shields/Goggles
All MD Pediatric Associates team members will continue to wear masks and eye protection, and we will continue to require all visits ages 2 and over to wear masks or other cloth face coverings.
Physical Distancing
We will continue to promote physical distancing in our offices, both for our MD Pediatric Associates team members and for our patients and families. We will direct and escort all visitors throughout the office, to avoid congestion and limit contact with other visitors as much as possible. We’ll be especially careful about possible congestion at Check-In and Check-Out, and do everything we can to help everyone maintain safe physical distances.
Kids & Accompanying Adults
To help ease congestion and maintain physical distancing in the office, we’ll continue to ask that only 1 adult accompany any child over 6 months old. In the rare cases when a family brings 3 or more children who all have appointments, 2 adult parents/caregivers can accompany them. We also ask that, if at all possible, siblings and other children without appointments stay home. Please let us know ahead of time if this is not possible so we can work with you to ensure your child can still come in and get the proper care they need.
Waiting Rooms are Open & Physically Distanced
Our waiting rooms are open again, with books/toys and other high-touch items removed, and chairs thinned out to ensure plenty of safe physical distancing. Patients and families who come to see us for well visits will enter via our well clinic entry door and patients and families who come to see us for acute visits will enter via our sick clinic entry door. All waiting rooms and restrooms will be regularly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
We have designed both our schedules and our patient flow to minimize wait times and to get you to your exam room as quickly as possible. For another way you can help minimize your wait time, and to make your entire visit go faster and more efficiently, see “Pre-Visit Questionnaires” below.
Temperature Checks
We perform temperature checks on all staff members, parents/caregivers, and patients upon entry to the building prior to beginning work/being brought back for their appointment.
Exam Rooms
All exam rooms will be in use and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every use no matter the reason for the visit. We will continue to have acute and well rooms assigned for appropriate use throughout the day.
Pre-Visit Questionnaires
To shorten your wait time, and to help your well visits go even smoother and faster, please complete all forms on Phreesia, you will get an email with information on where to fill these out once your appointment has been scheduled.
As always, if you have any questions, just call us in the office anytime. We’re always happy to help!
