It’s January! We are all leaving the crazy holidays and trying to get back in rhythm with our routines. However, leaving the excitement of the holidays to go back to work in the gray month of January can prove to be difficult. Here are a few tips to help you get back into the groove of life both physically and mentally!

Catch those Zzzz’s! 

Getting back into a consistent sleep schedule is more important than you might think! According to Dr. Steffi Mendoza, getting back into a healthy and consistent sleep schedule is key to your physical and mental health. Getting those 8 hours of sleep (or 10 hours for some little ones) is a vital part of jumpstarting your year!

Get Active!

It can be so difficult to get outside during the cold and wet winter months. However, nothing fights the winter blues than physical exercise and some time outside.

Give Yourself Grace

In the midst of all of the new year’s resolutions, make sure you give yourself some grace! Yes, it’s a new year but that doesn’t mean every bad habit is going to be broken on Day 1. If you break your resolution one day, don’t beat yourself up and quit. Try again! Healthy habits take time and perseverance. Keep going! You can do this!

2020 could be the best year yet!
"Highly recommend MD Pediatrics. We started bringing our two year old as a newborn and now are bringing our second child. I have had a great experience with Dr. Holt, Dr. Shumate, and Becca McCurdy who is a lactation consultant. They also have a nurse line that is available 24/7 and I’ve found it to be very helpful. We currently see Dr. Shumate after Dr. Holt stopped seeing patients during COVID. Dr. Shumate is attentive and listens well to any concerns and I feel very comfortable with her. Overall, it has been a great experience and I would recommend MD to any parent."
